1978 Rare Hermès Hexagone clutch in cognac ostrich with a crinoline body — a rare textile woven with genuine horsehair, true to Hermès' equestrian history as harness and saddle makers, produced by Hermès in limited quantities. Hexagonal H clasp in ostrich leather secures the flap. Gold push-lock closure. The crinoline has warmed to a lightly golden patina with age, the ostrich has darkened to a rich cognac. This patina is not a flaw to overlook. It is history made visible, and part of what makes the piece beautiful. Gently worn vintage condition.

Remarks: The crinoline's lightly golden patina and the ostrich's deepened cognac tone reflect nearly five decades of history — character, not damage. Push-lock clasp functions, sits loose but functional. Fine separation visible in the crinoline weave near the flap. Horsehair fiber pokes through the weave in a couple of spots, creating a slightly rough texture there — a natural result of the material's age and composition, not damage. Light marks to interior leather. Overall gently worn vintage condition.
